Security Training for Seafarer with Designated Security Duties (STSDSD)

This Training and Assessment Package is based on the IMO Model Course and is intended to provide the knowledge required for seafarers with designated security duties in connection with a Ship Security Plan (SSP) to perform their duties in accordance with the requirements of Chapter XI-2 of SOLAS 74 as amended, the ISPS Code, and section A-VI/6 of the STCW Code, as amended.

There are no formal entry requirements for this course.

INDoS number is mandatory.

• Recent Passport size photo with tie, White background ( Size : 35 x 35mm) -3 nos
• INDoS
• CDC (if held)
• Valid Passport
• Medical Certificate – (DGS Approved Doctor)
• As per DGS Order 20 of 2020, successful completion of E-learning through the DGS website is mandatory. Proir to joining virtual class the candidates to successfully complete the e-Learning module for the particular modular course or atleast enroll for the e-Learning module and produce the proof.
• Please confirm your photo and signature in the seafarer profile is updated as the same would be used for Facial Attendance, and Digital Certification as per DGS order.

• Round neck T-Shirts, Shorts and Hawai slippers not allowed.
• For Practicals : Boiler Suit, and Safety shoes are mandatory

Upon successful completion of the approved virtual class and EXIT examination conducted by the DG Shipping, eligible candidates are issued with Digital Certificate.
