Terms and Conditions
- Candidates to ensure and decide the course before booking online. Once completed the booking inform Alberts Maritime Office (AMI) office by telephone and e-mail. Fees once paid will not be refunded, it can be shifted to next available date in case there is an unavoidable reason within 3 months. A transfer fee of 10% will be charged from candidates.
- Any candidates want to shift the confirmed seats are required to make a written request to the management and the final decision solely rest with the management
- Candidate can obtain Duplicate receipts by remitting Rs.500 per receipt
- We shall be under no liability whatsoever in respect of any loss or damage arising directly or indirectly out of the decline of authorization for any Bank Transaction of the Candidate
- Institute is entitled to postpone the course at any juncture due to internal technical reasons or due to insufficient strength or by virtue of the state govt. or local body directives. Since Institute is not cancelling any course, only postponing it to comply with DGS / State Govt. requirement, the fee once paid will not be refunded.
- Candidates should be presented themselves for the virtual class in formal dress in a well-lit space where you won’t be interrupted by other people, pets or noises. Position your webcam so that you have a neutral background that is free from distractions. You should have your video on at all time and audio should be muted and can be unmuted whenever required
- Candidates are requested to download the GoToMeeting software (free software) in their laptops, or desktops.
- The user name and password to join the GoToMeeting online class will be sent to the candidates in advance.
- All the candidates for the online Virtual Classes requested to Log on to the Sessions with the required hardware recommended by DG shipping circular 17 dated 24-April-.2020 at least 5 Minutes before the Sessions starts, to avoid being marked absent.
- All the STCW/ Modular courses, 100% attendance is mandatory. Missing a class or part class session on any day (under any circumstances), will be treated as absent for the whole day and same cannot be covered in the next class / batch. The whole course will have to be done again by the candidate, by Repaying the Fee and booking the course again. If candidates are absent / late etc., their names will be withdrawn from the batch and FEE forfeited.
- Once Batch is uploaded on the DGS E-Governance, course shifting and cancellation request will not be entertained. All the relevant documents must be uploaded once the course booking is confirmed on www.albertsmaritime.com inside Course Booking section, prior to start of the course.
- For Online Classes, all the entire sessions will be recorded including the candidates attendance like Logging in / out, Camera On/off etc. will be automatically saved and all the classes and all relevant data can be viewed in real time at the concerned DGS wing. As the courses are governed by the DGS directives changes may introduce as and when warranted.
- A Non-Refundable DGS Exit Exam FEE of INR 295/- per course or its component course to be paid extra on and above the course fee which will be forwarded to DGS Exit exam wing on candidates behalf once he/she successfully completed the E-learning phase and Virtual class with 100% attendance.
- A Maximum of 3(three) attempts are permitted for the DGS Exit examination to any candidate for a particular course or its component course. If he/she fails in all three attempts should repeat the course by re-booking the same and paying the full course amount to the institute.
